Interpreting IS SPOKEN TRANSLATION. all sorts of events can be interpreted:
  • Conferences
  • Business meetings
  • Presentations
  • Trade fairs or festivals
  • Guided tours
  • and many more
Interpreters translate spoken messages orally in a precise and skillful way so that their rendition maintains the tone, register and intention of the original speech.
To do this, professional interpreters receive very specialised training which includes specific techniques, and detailed knowledge of their working languages.
Moreover, every interpreting assignment requires thorough preparation. It is essential to know the terminology and context of the event in order for communication to take place seamlessly. In meetings longer than one hour (and all remote interpreting services) there should be two interpreters per booth, because of the considerable cognitive load. Simultaneous interpreting requires intense focus and we take turns in order to allow sufficient rest time.
As a professional interpreter, I have received specialist training that follows European and international guidelines (EMCI) and I prepare every assignment thoroughly to ensure that your event is a success.

Simultaneous interpreting can be used in all sorts of multilingual events:

Whispered interpreting can be used at all sorts of multilingual events where only a maximum of 3 people need to listen to the interpreter.  It can also be used during a bigger event if the attendees are divided into smaller groups where only 3 people require interpretation.
